The best thing i like in Pentax Total Stations are as follows:

1. Laser Plummet for quick and easy setup

2. Electronic Levelling Vials which takes seconds to initialize.

3. Automatic Atmospheric Correction Mechanism. With this device built in, the total station automatically adjust its self with temperature and pressure after every two seconds. No need to input temperature every time and during the time of the day when temperature varies (morning and afternoon). With this mechanism which no other Total Stations manufacturers has in their total stations, the measurements may vary within centimeters and inches during different times of a day. For eg. with this system not present, the total station may show 5 meters in morning and the same measurement shows 5.1 meters in afternoon or in evening. This is the main difference between PENTAX total stations and other brand total stations. If you dont believe me, you may ask any pentax user and he may guide yo about it.

4. Graphical Display. Graphical display of work is displayed as you take measurements.

5. PowerTopolite. This is the software that PENTAX provides with its Total station. This software is an integrated software where you can work on all applications on one screen such as stake out, topography, RDM, REM, VPM, Free Stationing etc.

Apart from these advantages, there are many other advantages which makes users to spend minimum time in burning hot sun and working effectively in the hardest of conditions.

Thanks for your post, well that is the best part that in 6 Sec Pentax has real-time Graphical Display for the cordinates. I think no other brand of Total Station aquire these features in 6 Sec (reflectorless and Non-reflectorless)

I wonder does these features include in new upcomming model for Pentax V-300 ?

Yes! Pentax has launched new series of Total Sations which include V-300 and R-400 Series. These total station are familiar to R300x series and the software is exact the same as of R300x series and new features such as external memory, increased reflectorless range, Graphical display, Automatic Atmospheric Correction Mechanism and mucg much more. I will place the catalog on the forum soon.
